The Full Moon ceremony is a iswkewak (women’s) ceremony that celebrates our ties and connections to Grandmother Moon (“Tipiskawi Pisim Nohkom”).
Brielle Beardy-Linklater will guide us through this ceremony and feast. Bring your prayers, drums, rattles and ribbon skirts. We will have some skirts available.
Brielle Beardy-Linklater is an award winning Two-Spirit Cree community helper and event organizer from the Nisichawayansihk Cree Nation and York Factory First Nation. She shares traditional Cree and Two-Spirit teachings to support inner city and First Nations communities, focusing on decolonization, LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and reclaiming cultural values for future generations.
This ceremony is for all women and gender diverse folx. Men who are interested in attending can participate as a fire keeper. Priority will be given to Indigenous people who access our services.
